GOLIADA, a CFA Tier V Cattery of Distinction and a CFA Cattery of Excellence, is a small hobby cattery located in rural Iowa. My breeding program has always been devoted to dilute Persians, especially blues. My cats are raised underfoot in my home with much love and attention. Through selective breeding, my goal is to produce healthy cats with sweet personalities that meet the CFA Persian breed standard. My cats are DNA tested PKD and PRA negative and of A blood type.
I have always loved cats – my first word was "kitty." I started showing Persians in GCCF in 1974 while working in England. I returned to the US in 1976 with five Persians which became the foundation of my CFA breeding program. Since 1976, I have been registering my cats and showing exclusively with CFA. Over the years, I have produced some top examples of the Persian breed, achieving numerous Grand Champion and several Distinguished Merit titles, as well as Regional, Breed, and National awards.
I am pictured above with my all time favorite cat "Hermione," a regional winning Kitten, a national winning adult in Championship, and a national winning Best Cat in Premiership. Gone too soon...but never forgotten.
